Birth Wars: Opinions of a Childless Woman

Monday, January 28th, 2013

012-2-AHA-226.jpgThis is yet another fabulous guest post from my homegirl Monique!

“You are only a real woman when you push.”
“Epidural are for the weak.”

These two comments women made almost started a riot on my Facebook page. Facebook friends that usually “like” my statuses commented and actually FOLLOWED the post until the it died down. The first person to comment, of course, was one of my Besties, and owner of this blog, Danielle. When she typed in caps “WHO THE FUCK SAID THAT…” I knew I had hit a nerve. But I am childless, and nosy, so therefore… I wanted to understand why does this battle exist?  (more…)

Hate on Me Elf on the Shelf Haters!

Tuesday, November 27th, 2012

New trend in the parenting community?

Elf on the Shelf haters. No, I am totally serious with you. People online that are actually putting down parents for using Elf on the Shelf as part of their Christmas tradition. Some bullshit about being able to parent their children so they don’t have to threaten their kids with an Elf or Santa.

To them all I have to say is get off your damn high horse and have a little fun. DAMN!

There is no need to take everything in life so seriously. Jesus!

The fact that people are even taking this little damn doll and book seriously enough to question another parents parenting skills because they choose to have a watchful Christmas eye in the house is something that just brings the whole mom wars to a whole new, and extremely pathetic level. (more…)

Democrat Feminist’s Don’t Value Stay-at-Home Mothers? Say WHAT?

Friday, April 13th, 2012

Ok so before I even dive into my post I want to get this out there. I never watch Fox News ever. Anything that even is affiliated with Fox typically turns me off. K?

Today one of my favorite bloggers Pundit Mom posted a blog after she survived being a panelist on Fox News regarding the newest mom war. She was by far the most liberal panelist involved and God bless her for surviving through it and dealing with all the faux-filled hate mail she is getting now. Anyway!

If you live under a rock you may not know that democratic adviser Hilary Rosen kind of threw Mitt Romney’s wife under the bus saying she never held a job in her life. While it may be true that she never held a job outside of the home – motherhood itself is a fucking hardcore job. Pardon my language but being a stay-at-home mom for a couple years without any income, compared to working outside the home, I think working OUTSIDE the home is easier. (more…)

I’m Kinda Over the Birth Wars

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

The other day I was clicking through my feed on Facebook and I saw an article on a celebrity gossip blog which broke down celebrities that had opted for beautiful natural home births and their comments on home birth. But when I got towards the end of the article there was a section on the celebrities who had c-sections, or scheduled c-sections.

Reading through the blog commentary there really was nothing positive at all about the celebrities that had c-sections. Most of it was judge-y, negative and clearly not as positive as the previous section about the celebrity home births.

Take the celebrity factor out of the equation, and you have the current birth wars we see virtually — EVERYWHERE. (more…)

Why Women are Failing Each Other

Tuesday, September 20th, 2011
You see that bitch?

Just when you think women have banded together enough to take a hand full of steps forward… there evolves a population of bitches who have nothing better to do but put other women down in any which way they can!

Sounds like that movie Mean Girls right?  It is a pretty accurate depiction of what happens day in and day out. If it isn’t high school… it is the blogging community.  If it isn’t the work place it is at the gym.  Maybe your social circle, or even your own family!  It is every where!

There is no escaping it!  AHH! (more…)
