The summertime is here, and I have been a giant slacker on my website. Oh well! I figure kids are only young once, and we are going to have a fun summer. So to all my wonderful readers, please excuse my intermittent absences, because there will be plenty this summer!
This weekend we had a ton of fun, especially when myself and a friend decided to try and take on the whole kiddie pool thing in my back yard. Unfortunately for all the parties involved… I do not have a 100% flat back yard. There are little slopes and hills everywhere, which I guess is a given in the valley where I live.
So anyway! We tried desperately to get the pool to the flattest spot in the yard.
I am sure it was pretty hysterical for the neighbors to watch.
I went a little crazy taking pictures to document everything. I am totally going that instagram July Photo challenge as well. Hopefully I don’t give up a week into it, like most people I know.

The first photo for the month was a portrait, so I messed around with my iPhone for a bit till I got this one. I look extremely pale but I absolutely love my hair for once. Something I have been battling with since I decided to chop it all off. I am totally growing it out now.

Camden and I had a ton of fun playing and splashing before all the other children joined us. After this Daddy took him into our next door neighbors big pool for his first real swim of the year. He is going to be our little fish!

Although my husband doesn’t look too amused, I promise I did not force him into being in this picture. LOL! This was the best picture we could get of everyone, including my friend’s new son Nathaniel. Isn’t he cute?

In this picture he did the Blue Steel pose… I bet he will be cast in the next Zoolander flick. It is nice to have a new little baby around again, although it is even better to give him back at the end of the day, or when he starts to cry!

If you are a bandana lover, and shop at Walmart… go check out their selection! I needed a couple to help tame my hair in this heat, and they have some adorable prints for $1! Deal!

My newest revelation in life is, you can cook just about anything on a grill. We made baked ziti on the grill last night because I had no desire to turn my oven on and heat up an entire side of the house.
It was a great weekend, and I look forward to many more just like it!
In the upcoming weeks I have to wrap up my Special K Challenge project, follow up on the Eddie Bauer saga, and do some writing on my late sister. Who I miss terribly these days. Summer will always be the roughest time without her because of all the things we did together during the summer over the years.
What did you do this weekend?
