Pinterest Picks of the Week

I don’t do Pinterest posts every week, but I came across some really awesome pins and projects this week while working on some blog posts and I really wanted to share and of course write a wrap up.

We have been doing a lot of little projects around out house. Painting, organizing, and everything that Pinterest is downright amazing for.

First I wanted to start with a couple craft projects.

The first project that stood out to me was a great idea for making over simple storage boxes. You can use boxes from the mail, old diaper boxes, or whatever you really want… Mix it with some Duct Tape and you have adorable and stylish boxes without spending tons of money on designer looking storage boxes.

Check out the original post from DIY Home Sweet Home!  If I try this I will definitely post about it!

Next is a simple idea to jazz up some coasters around the house. I know with the kids around the house we try to use them as much as we can, but unfortunately most of the time we end up with drink rings on our tables.

Although if we were to do fun coasters with kid friendly designs on them, it may encourage them to use the coasters more than simply designed coasters do.

I found this photo on Popular Pix.

This last one is hit or miss. Some people will love the idea, and some will hate it and find it completely tacky. To each their own right? I actually saw an old dresser on the side of the road the other day that looked like it would be perfect for a project like this but it was gone by the time my husband was home from work with his truck!

I want to do something fun in the kids rooms, maybe I can con my husband into doing something like this with the old dressers in our bedroom once we have finally finished our room overhaul. Some day right?

Now onto my humor for the week…

I made this e-card for the Project Convert 2 Cloth campaign. This week three great posts went up, one including a giveaway for a Diaper Sprayer. If you want to win, head over to the blog!  You only have till midnight on Sunday!

You have that friend… you know the one who leaves you random messages at 4am. Whether it is on your phone or trying to message you on Facebook. Like you are awake waiting for their call?

Yeah, I have one of those too… I am so glad I can sleep through the text message tone on my phone. When I saw this, I laughed hysterically for a while.

Exactly!  I am out scuba diving and painting the town red when I should be sleeping because my almost 15 month old thinks it is cute to get up at 5:30 in the morning to watch Sesame Street!

Then there was the Magic Mike humor. Last weekend I went to see it with a couple of my girlfriends because who doesn’t want to go out for dinner with the girls and follow it with a male stripper movie?  It was a great way to celebrate my birthday a week late.

The movie as a whole was amusing to say the least. It constitutes an entire blog post in itself, so I am not going to spoil it here. I will tackle that one next week.

So those are my Pinterest pins for the week, be sure to follow me on Pinterest!
