I Rocked Rivet & Sway Glasses at BlogHer12

When I headed into New York City last week for the BlogHer conference I was most excited about one thing… Picking up my new Rivet & Sway glasses from the lovely April!  The week before I had enlisted the help of my readers and fans on my Facebook page to tell me which glasses they liked the best, well on me at least.

I got a lot of mixed reviews, and in the end I let my husband make the final choice with me. I picked the Hungry Heart frames, which I absolutely love. Not only do they fit my face perfectly… but they also match my bold style and personality. We have also joked that if they came in bright red I could have been this generations Sally Jessy Raphael.

During the BlogHer conference I had no less than fifty people ask me where I got them, or compliment them. Some were other Rivet & Sway bloggers, but most were just your normal run of the mill BlogHer attendees! It was great since I am typically pretty self conscious, but I can certainly say the overall experience and look has helped me feel more secure in the fashion choices I enjoy.

The process of ordering the glasses were simple. I obtained my prescription from my eye doctor by dropping by the office after calling in. (Please note if you are going to ask your office for your prescription, they WILL make you come into the office and get it or mail it directly to the address on your file). It is not something they are going to give you over the phone. Also… you need to know your PD or pupillary distance.

This is pretty simple with a ruler and this YouTube clip…

It is much simpler than it sounds, I promise you! But it is a must have to order any pair of glasses.

Now for a couple pictures in my awesome Hungry Heart Rivet & Sway glasses from BlogHer 2012!

Once BlogHer was over and I headed home, Rivet & Sway continued to look fabulous in all kinds of settings… like cleaning my house…

Clearly by my facial expression, you can see I loath cleaning… but at least I am stylish while mopping my kitchen floor and doing dishes right?

Overall the company has been a complete pleasure to work with, and I highly recommend them for ordering glasses in the future. I can tell you already, I will be ordering a second pair in the upcoming months because I had such a hard time being only one pair for this awesome project!
