That statement is beyond offensive. I really don’t understand how a person’s sexual orientation has any affect on their ability to parent? In my experience, it seems like same-sex parents are if anything more devoted as they have to struggle more to have children.

Okay- so this just reminds me of the movie “not without my daughter” which reminds me of all the times my mom (from the age of 5) taught me how to dial collect and get a phone call through (among other things) in case my bio dad decided to skip town with me. That said, this guy is an idiot. You would never expect a child stuck in a heterosexual custody battle to need to be “rescued” in the way he suggests. Ugggh

She was most likely a legal guardian or the judge would have not granted visitation and then full custody to her, after the mother fled with the child.
