Facebook Changes: Make Sure You “Subscribe”

As if Facebook needs anymore changes right?  In the past week there has been a ton of rumors swirling around about changes to the fan pages, and of course most of us wondering why the hell we can’t see posts from some of the pages we have already “liked”

There is also the fact that Facebook is now trying to cash in on the “like” pages which have over 1,000 “likers” on it and charge us in $5 increments to actually have our post seen by people on Facebook.

It is all about a damn dollar!

Anyway!  The picture to the side shows what you have to do when you want to make sure you are seeing a post from a page you have already decided to “like”.

Go to the page, and hover over the “Like” button and a little drop down menu will show. It gives you all kinds of options but if you want to make sure you are actually seeing the stuff your favorite pages are posting – make sure the option “Show in News Feed” is checked.

Now onto the next facebook issue with the “promoted” posts. A lot of the fan pages don’t have them yet – but never fear they are real and not a rumor!

Two nights ago mine popped up onto my “liker” page and I have since contemplated closing it and making a normal Facebook page for my blog because there is no way I am ever going to pay to promote posts on Facebook. Not in a million years!

There you have it! And I am sure if I had more “likers” on my page the price and reach would continue to increase. I wonder how many companies are going to start spending hundreds of dollars to promote what they have to say on Facebook. Grrrr!

  2. I’m so frustrated about the pay to reach those who’ve already liked us thing… it’s ridiculous.
