Do You Blog? You Need a Blog Notebook!

If I had a dime for every time someone asked me how I stay organized with my blog, I would be rich.Seriously, like a gazillionaire!

The method to my madness?

A notebook. A simple, one subject – Martha Stewart Home Office by Avery notebook. Its green, has some pretty swirls on the cover. Just something I found extremely adorable in Staples one time. And no, this is not a sponsored post or plug – although I was really happy to meet the Avery home office people at BlogHer since I already use the Martha Stewart line.

The notebook, with the Wunderlist app on my desktop, and phone. Things that have a priority go right onto Wunderlist with a “must complete by” date. All my ideas go right into my notebook.

I have lists of post ideas in my magical blog notebook. Things that come to be when I am laying in bed on a sleepless night. Songs that spark a thought in my head and give me a title idea. News stories that I have an opinion or reflection on. Nothing fancy, just stuff that makes me think… hmm, that would make a pretty cool blog post.

A side note about Wunderlist – you can really use it for anything. Blog stuff, home stuff, chores, kids appointments, whatever. I make several lists in there and check them off as I go.

It isn’t rocket science!
Just a simple method to my madness!

How do you keep your blog organized?

  1. I must say, I don’t think my blog is organized in the slightest. If I had more time I think it would be better. For now, though, I’m just trying to get around to putting some dang pictures up.
