Catch Me on The Broad Side
A while back I had an offer from Joanne Bamburger AKA PunditMom, to join a great website called The Broad Side. With a little bit more time on my hands, and more interest in the topics than ever before, I decided to sign on at the end of last month.
The website is an amazing mix of women. Republicans, Democrats, conservative and liberal. Respective tones on issues we are all facing as women, and mothers.
It really is a refreshing site as a whole, and I am excited to be a part of such an amazing group of women.
With that being said I have contributed a couple of really awesome posts over there so far, and I wanted to share them with my readers as well. Please take a moment to “like” The Broad Side on Facebook too!
Is It About the Flag or Is It About Obama?
A couple weeks back I watched many people on Facebook freak out about an “UnAmerican” flag Obama was using for his campaign. It turns out if you look at election history in our country, this is not an unusual campaign idea. In fact, I found not one, but two very loved Presidents (both of whom were Republican) who used similar campaign ideas.
Go ahead, take a moment and check out who used similar ideas!
Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer Becomes the Newest Victim of “Mommy Wars”

Linda McMahon’s Misogynistic History
The former President and CEO of the WWE is running for a Senate seat vacated here in Connecticut once again. And while I like to see women running for office, the history of her company disturbs me on a deep level. Demeaning and abusing women to me, is never ok. Whether is it on television for entertainment or not.
Check out the discussion going on in the comments!
