the way I see it is that DH and I work hard, we pay our taxes, and part of that goes to public health care and assistance, If I need it, I will use it, I do not need it so I don't, but if we are laid off and are going through a hard time, I will not hesitate to get some help, because my taxes are paid towards it for that reason, it is there when I need it. The other issue is this is America.. why the heck are we not "entitled" to health care? I believe health care is a basic human right.. I do not see why so many parents go sick so their children can see a dr. or go hungry so they can provide their kids with medical care ect. This is not Mulasia, it is the USA.. we should not rank so low in health care. What about all of us with underwater mortgages that need to sell our homes but have to decide to take a credit hit on a short sale, stay trapped in a home that is too small, in a bad area, and too far from our jobs.. If Romney gets into office nothing is going to help that. I personally feel that Americans need to help each other, this should not be a game of the rich ganging up on the poor.. If I was rich I would want nothing more than to help out my fellow less fortunate Americans.

Bravo! My mom is one of those so called "victims". But Romney lacks the nuance of empathy and understanding, to realize she is not a victim because of a lack of "personal responsibility" but because someone hit her while she was riding a motorcycle, minding her own business. She can never work again, and is really lucky to be alive. This comment is one of the most hateful generalizations he has made to date.

I have never taken anything from the government nor has my family nor do we want to or expect to. We have worked and worked hard for everything we have. Unfortunately, because of the state of the economy, many simply have no choice. They desperately want to work but can't find a job, anywhere. I've seen it first hand and dealt with it daily in a job I worked since October, 2011 until July, 2012. Day in and day out the same story. People who had good jobs, have a good education, and yet, can't find work, can't pay their bills, can't support their homes and families. And what does the government do, call these people lazy. Are you f'ng kidding me. Come work in the office I worked in for close to a year and then we will talk. These people were NOT lazy, not by a long shot. They would have done anything for a job, and most were let go from jobs where between work and commute they put in a good 10 to 12 hour day, sometimes 14 hours. Not exactly lazy in my book.

Nicely done, Michelle. I would like to add that it seems that it is Romney and his cronies, the super-wealthy, who are the whiners and the ones who feel "entilted". Entitled to rule, entitled to get huge tax breaks, entitled to ship jobs over seas, entitled to cheap labor-- entitled to government bailouts for their giant corporations-- entitled to a safe environment in which to make their billions-- an infrastructure created and maintained by the rest of us-- I could go on and on. Their arrogance is stunning.

Cheers to that! I seriously cannot believe how many times this man has inserted his foot into his mouth! Certainly not a man I'd like to run our country, that's for sure!
