A Fictional Side Project
A couple months ago after reading an ass-ton of novels I started to think about how easy it would be to write a romance novel. Really the elements of the books tend to be pretty simple, and with a good strong editor (because I know my grammar blows) I knew the dream would be within reach.
So, what did I do? I started tossing around ideas of settings, cities I would want the story to take place in, a plot, and everything that goes into the project. A month after getting my brain storm, with a ton of additional work and research, I started writing.
In my free time, when I am not being mom, blogging, or whatever stuff I have going on with One Mom Digital Media (which has been BOOMING lately, much to my surprise) I scurry off to Starbucks for a Frappachino and my ear buds pumped full of The Avett Brothers. By the way, they have to be one of the most soothing sounds to write to.
But now you all are asking… why are you telling us this?
Because this Friday, September 28th, I am going to release the ENTIRE first chapter to the public.
The first quarter of the book is edited, and after I finish up the legal copyright mumbo jumbo which I should wrap up today or tomorrow, I will be able to share it with you all, and get you just as wrapped up into this project as I have become.
A little background…
You will meet Heiress Charlotte Windsor, a history major at Boston University.
Her best friend Shay who was also adopted by her parents after her mother was killed in a car accident.
Her crazy three brothers Trey, Christian, and Jonathan.
Oh, and her love interest Bentley .
Are you guys ready for all this? Because I have been dying to share this exciting news!
I am looking at a full release/publish in the spring. Once the book is finished (which I still have about half to write) and the editor has it back to me complete, I will be going through the self publishing process. So, I may give out bits and pieces over the next couple months on here and my Facebook page to get everyone excited!
Oh, one last thing before I sign off for the day… I still have yet to give the book a title. I may or may not turn that into a contest, I have no idea yet. I feel like the titles I have come up with thus far kind of suck. There is an underlying baseball theme in the book, so that may end up being a theme for the title.
